President and CEO, Richard Siemens, founded Siemens Group in 1990. Siemens Group specializes in land acquisition, real estate development, sales and marketing, construction and real estate management. A true pioneer in Florida real estate development, Richard Siemens has 40 years of experience in the state.
Siemens and family have left their mark on the South Florida real estate industry through such innovative developments as Polo Club Boca Raton, Gleneagles Country Club, Harbour’s Edge, and the upcoming Akoya Boca West. Siemens Group has built more than 15,000 homes in more than 20 communities.
Richard Siemens has created a unique approach to community and commercial development that continues to be the industry standard. During his many years in the development business, Siemens has maintained an unparalleled ability for blending lifestyle, golf and country club amenities into communities that elevate the expectations of buyers throughout the country. Siemens Group is also one of the few developers that has successfully utilized celebrity spokespersons to effectively market residential communities including Steffi Graf, Chris Evert and others.
Richard Siemens has served as chairman of the board of directors of the West Boca Medical Center and has sat on the board of directors of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Federation and on the board of directors of the Palm Beach County Drug Abuse Foundation. He was also past director of Florida Atlantic University Foundation.
A University of Florida graduate, Rob Siemens started working for his father, Richard, fresh out of college, doing construction before transitioning to marketing. Before the Siemens Group officially formed in 1990, Rob gained valuable experience by overseeing marketing for major projects such as Gleneagles Country Club and Polo Club Boca Raton. Since then, he has overseen public relations, marketing and management for all of the firm’s statewide projects. Siemens says that Akoya, for which he also serves as a sales associate, is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity: “There is no other community in South Florida where you can build this type of building—there simply isn’t the land for it. Akoya is brand new, has all the luxury amenities and is located in the nation’s top country club. There is no other opportunity like it.”
Rebecca Spooner Siemens grew up in the world of real estate thanks to her father, Richard. After studying business real estate at the University of Florida, she worked alongside her father in a marketing capacity before becoming involved in outside sales for Siemens Group Realty. Since 1991, the Boca Raton resident has specialized in country club and waterfront properties from Palm Beach County to Miami Dade. Now, Spooner’s focus is Akoya, which she says is perfect for those who are looking for modern luxury architecture, paired with the world class amenities of Boca West, the #1 private country club in the nation. “Now there’s an option for those who love country club living and luxury amenities but don’t want to maintain a single-family home anymore,” she says. “Plus, there are no assessments at Boca West, which is a huge plus.”
With a background in finance, Jim Spooner has been in the real estate industry for 25 years, working in investment sales, land development, commercial sales and leasing, residential sales and leasing, and more. In 1991, he helped found Siemens Group Realty and has served as a licensed broker for that firm since then. When it comes to Akoya, the Purdue alum says that the sheer value is a huge selling point. “Akoya takes the luxury of an oceanfront building and places it alongside the multi-million dollar amenities of Boca West,” he says. “Units in Akoya are a third of the cost of what it would be if it were on the ocean. So it’s a tremendous value and a great investment.”
A well-known and respected licensed realtor in Boca Raton for the past 10 years, Beth Chatoff has specialized in working with buyers from Palm Beach to Miami. After working as a mortgage broker for years, Beth took the next natural step in becoming a successful realtor. The longtime Boca Raton resident is excited to offer buyers the rare real estate opportunity that Akoya Boca West represents. “There is nothing else like it anywhere in South Florida,” she says. “There is nothing new in a country club, and there is nothing new with this type of luxury and amenities. Boca West is a fantastic lifestyle. This is like a cruise ship that never leaves land.”
