Akoya Boca West marked a significant milestone in the community’s development with the start of soil stabilization. This is a method of changing a natural soil to meet an engineering purpose. Improvements include increasing the weight bearing capabilities and performance of sub soils, sands, and other materials in order to strengthen surfaces. The developers of Akoya, the Siemens group, hired KAST Construction Company to complete the vertical construction for the luxury modern designed condominium.
KAST, headquartered in West Palm Beach, was founded in 1998 and has delivered more than $2.5 billion in completed projects since 2008. These projects include more than 4,000 condo units, 2,000 multifamily units, 1,600 hotel rooms, and 1.6 million square feet of office space. KAST’s geographic footprint includes southeast Florida from Miami to Jupiter, Florida’s west coast including Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Orlando and Myrtle Beach and Charleston in South Carolina.
