Developers began preparing for the groundbreaking of a new condominium within Boca West Country Club on Monday. The project, Akoya, is slated to open in fall 2015.
Offering 120 residences priced from $1.2 million to more than $2 million, the $185 million luxury condominium is scheduled to break ground before the end of the year. Condo units are now selling for $400 to $500 a square foot, and prices are expected to rise once construction begins.
Boca Raton-based real estate developer Siemens Group Realty is on schedule to construct the nine-story building, which will feature two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 2,676 to 4,780 square feet. Each unit will have its own elevator for security purposes.
Along with the Akoya development, Boca West Country Club will announce a $50 million, 140,000-square-foot addition to its clubhouse in the near future.
West Palm Beach-based architecture firm Garcia Stromberg designed Akoya, and Miami-based Interiors by Steven G was contracted for the building’s interior designs.
